Several Uncle Howard's Barns have been trimmed out as Dog Kennels.
The versatility of the interior layout allows for tremendous flexibility in the arrangement of dividers as well as entry and exit doors.
The University of Washington Pack Forest Conservation Kennel
In July of 2006, The University of Washington's Center for Conservation Biology approached Uncle Howard's regarding their need for a kennel to house their endangered species scat tracking dogs. After extensive planning and securing the necessary funding, the project began in earnest in the Winter of 2007/2008. Completed in the Summer of 2008, the kennel now houses up to 30 highly trained dogs.
